Phase 1 of Tata Football Academy Jamshedpur trials concludes, phase 2 to begin today

Jamshedpur, November 20: The first phase of the Jamshedpur FC U15 (TFA) trials concluded successfully today, with 148 young footballers from West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh showcasing their skills. The trials, which began on November 19, have already seen an impressive display of talent, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead.

Phase 2 of the trials will commence on November 21, focusing on players from Jharkhand. With 280 applicants from the state, this batch marks one of the most significant representations in the entire selection process. The trials will continue at the Tata Football Academy grounds, where participants will aim to secure a spot in TFA’s prestigious youth programme.

The trials have attracted 1,095 shortlisted candidates from 26 states and union territories, reflecting the national reach and reputation of TFA. Players from regions as diverse as Gujarat, Manipur, Kerala, and Himachal Pradesh are scheduled to participate in the coming days, culminating in the final selection rounds on November 29 and 30.

With Kerala leading in applicant numbers (334 players) and Jharkhand close behind (280 players), special arrangements have been made to accommodate these states. The trials for Kerala are scheduled for Batch IV, while Jharkhand takes center stage in Phase 2 starting tomorrow.
