Peaceful conclusion of Chhath Puja, DC extends gratitude

Jamshedpur : In a commendable display of meticulous planning and cooperation, the four-day festival of Chhath Puja concluded peacefully and with devotion at Swarnarekha Gandhi Ghat. District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner  Manjunath Bhajantri personally oversaw the extensive facilities and security arrangements in place for the devotees.

 Bhajantri expressed his gratitude for the collaborative efforts of administrative and police officers, line departments, the Central Peace Committee, various puja committees, and all district residents. Their cooperation played a pivotal role in ensuring the serene conclusion of not only Chhath Puja but also Durga Puja and Diwali.

During the morning Arghya of Chhath Puja, the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner revisited Swarnarekha Gandhi Ghat to ensure the continued smooth progress of the festival. The district administration had implemented comprehensive facilities and security measures to guarantee a peaceful and devoted celebration. Bhajantri lauded the hard work and dedication of magistrates, police officers, municipal bodies, electricity, transport, and health department personnel who contributed to maintaining law and order at all ghats.

The inspection of Chhath Ghats included an assessment of law and order, cleanliness, electricity systems, traffic management, security measures, and health facilities. City SP Mukesh Lunayat, SDM Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, ADM Law and Order Rajeev Ranjan, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar, along with officials from municipal bodies, were present during the inspection, emphasizing a collaborative approach to ensure the success of the celebrations.
