Jamshedpur August 14 : East Singhbhum District information and public relation department hosted poetry evening on the eve of 70th independence day at information centre on Sunday .
At the event city�s famous poets sitting before the tricolor presented poetries dedicated to patriotism. The events started with garlanding of the portrait of Bharat Mata.
On the occasion poet Uma singh began the program with her poem �Jabajon Ke Dum Par hi toh Hind hai�.
This was followed by another patriotic presentation by Shyamal suman who recited � Naman Mera Hai Veeron Ko�, Shailendra Pandey �Shail� recited � Ruh Bankar Sarhadon Par Har Taraf Phirta Hun Main�, Beena Pandey narrated � Hume Toh Is Tirange mein Shaheedon Tum Nazar Aao�.
Shailendra Asthana presented a poem dedicated to Bhagat Singh while Uday Pratap Hayat recited �Pehle hum Hindustani hain�. DPRO Sanjay Kumar narrated �Hum vatan nahi Jalne Denge� and several others patriotic songs and poems were presented. Later all present paid their rich tributes to the martyrs.
The patriotic program was presided over by senior poet Nand Kumar Unman while Varun Bhagat was the convener.
Also present at the event was Shahid Anwar, Shivam Kumar, Anup Kundu, Bhavishya Sharma, Aryan Pandey, Birendra Kumar Dogra, Gaurav Ghosh, Mahavir and others.
