Passenger falls from escalator

Jamshedpur: A woman passenger fell down from the moving escalator at platform number 1 of Tatanagar railway station on Tuesday. The incident occurred in the afternoon. As a result, the escalators on platform 2 and 3 also stopped working for two hours. Sources said the escalator often remains closed. Complaints have been registered with the railway officials by several passengers in this regard. They said the escalator is yet to be handed over to the railway. It is being run on a trial basis, sources said.
