New Delhi: Following the recent breach of security at the Parliament, the motive behind the accused’s actions and their current whereabouts have become pressing questions for law enforcement. Lalit Jha, identified as the mastermind, was presented before a Delhi court, and a seven-day police remand was granted for further investigation.
The central question revolves around the motive of the accused, particularly in creating chaos within the Lok Sabha and attempting to set fire to the premises. Additionally, the police are determined to uncover the true mastermind orchestrating the entire conspiracy. Jha, considered the chief planner, is currently undergoing intensive interrogation to shed light on the comprehensive plan to breach Parliament security.
During the court proceedings, the police requested a 15-day remand for Jha, emphasizing the need for a detailed investigation into the conspiracy and the recovery of mobile phones believed to have been destroyed. However, the court granted a seven-day remand.
The police contend that Jha’s admitted involvement in planning the attack aimed at creating anarchy in the country to pressure the government into meeting their undisclosed demands. As part of a larger conspiracy, Jha allegedly confiscated the phones of other accused individuals to hide them and destroy evidence.
Jha revealed during interrogation that, while traveling from Jaipur to Delhi, he disposed of his phone. The police are now emphasizing the necessity of custodial interrogation to unveil the broader conspiracy, identify other conspirators, and understand the true motives behind the attack. They are also exploring possible connections to enemy countries or terrorist organizations.
The Parliament breach involved two accused creating chaos inside the House, while two others outside released yellow and red smoke. Despite the disruption, the police have arrested five individuals, including the alleged mastermind, and continue to investigate the motives behind their actions.
In a separate development, the family of one accused, Neelam, speculates that frustration over unemployment may have led her to participate in the breach. Neelam, a resident of Ghaso Khurd village in Haryana, is preparing for civil services examinations but has not secured employment yet. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the motivations of the accused and any potential connections between them.
