Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has decided to shift the Matriculation and Intermediate exams from OMR sheets to answer sheets. The proposal received approval during the board meeting held under the chairmanship of JAC President Dr. Anil Kumar Mahato on Friday.
Previously, the exams for the 40-mark section in both Matriculation and Intermediate were conducted on OMR sheets. However, with the recent approval, the examinations will now be exclusively held on answer sheets. The change in the examination format eliminates the need for separate OMR sheets and answer books.
In addition to the format change, the timing for both Matriculation and Intermediate exams has been synchronized. Candidates will now be given an additional 15 minutes to read the question paper. This adjustment aims to provide students with sufficient time to comprehend the questions before starting the exam.
