Jamshedpur, August 2: Tata Steel employees residing around the G Town Maidan in Bistupur had been demanding a stop to various programmes organized in the ground leading to the entire area being littered with garbage as also for taking measures against groups of antisocial elements infesting the place through periodical information and reminders to the SDO Dhalbhum and the Tata Steel UISL authorities. Finally, a positive step has been taken and Tata Steel UISL has started work on a park to beautify the G Town Maidan in Bistupur. Appreciating this initiative by Tata Steel UISL management, all company employees residing around G Town Ground have made a request that all future events and pandal constructions in the ground be banned in order to maintain the park’s beauty and cleanliness. They want the park to be exclusively used for children to play in and for exercise. To press home this demand, the local residents have decided to submit a memorandum to the company management. The people taking this initiative include Narayan, Ajay Singh, Shailesh, Pradeep Jha, A Mahato, Balram Singh and others.
