Jamshedpur, August 2: Despite heavy rainfall, BJP workers, led by Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Gunjan Yadav, extended a grand welcome to former Chief Minister Raghubar Das on his visit to the city after being re-elected Vice President at the recent reshuffle in the party’s national committee of executives.
Upon his arrival at Jamshedpur, Raghubar Das paid homage at the statues of Shahid Khudiram Bose and Loknayak Jayprakash Narayan and offered prayers. He also performed prayer rituals of Lord Bajrangbali at the Ramleela Maidan for the well-being, prosperity, and peace of the people of Jamshedpur and Jharkhand.
BJP workers, under the leadership of various Mandal (unit) Presidents, warmly welcomed Raghubar Das at Shahid Khudiram Bose Chowk, Mango Bus Stand roundabout, Sakchi Shitla Mata Mandir Chowk, Ramleela Maidan Chowk, and at his Agrico residence. Unfazed by the light to heavy downpour, the BJP workers’ excitement and enthusiasm reverberated as they cheered national party Vice President Raghubar Das along the entire route with the beats of traditional drums and cracker bursts. A large number of BJP workers and supporters gathered at his Agrico residence to extend their best wishes. BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Gunjan Yadav expressed gratitude to all party members and supporters who participated in the welcome and felicitation program. He said that the enthusiasm of BJP workers showed that the party would form a majority government in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.
