Parent’s outfit demand summer timing of Jamshedpur schools 

Jamshedpur, April 14: Jamshedpur Abhibhavak Sangh (a parents outfit) has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner demanding change in school timings in view of the scorching heat and sun.

The letter state that Jamshedpur city is in the grip of severe heat. At present, the temperature of East Singhbhum has been recorded at 41.7 degree Celsius and the Meteorological Department has predicted that it may increase in the next five days. Along with this, hot winds are also blowing. A child had suddenly fainted in Adarsh Middle School. Due to the heat, students are fainting.

Presently the schools are operating from 7 am to 1 pm or somewhere till 1.30 pm. When the schools close at 1 pm or 1.30 pm, the temperature is maximum at that time. The maximum temperature is adversely affecting the health of the children, due to which the children are fainting.

Parents outfit has demanded for the schools to function for students between 6.30 am to 11.30 am.
