Jamshedpur, April 14: Jumma prayers were performed peacefully on Friday under police watch at Shastri Nagar Farooqui Mosque in Kadma police station area.
A large number of police and paramilitary personnel were deployed around Farooqui Masjid and the monitoring was done by drone.
East Singhbhum SSP Prabhat Kumar and SDO Piyush Kumar Sinha were themselves present on the spot.
The police and the administration have heaved a sigh of relief after the Zuma prayers were completed safely. A few days ago there was a communal flareup in Shastri Nagar and it had posed challenge for the administration to ensure that Jumma Prayers were held peacefully in this part.
