Gamharia, July 3:  A Parents-Teachers meeting was organized at Gamharia Xavier School. Parents of students in classes 1 to 5 interacted with the teachers at the meeting held on Sunday, July 3. The meeting was informative as parents interacted with teachers to gauge the progress of their wards. School Principal, Fr (Dr) Tony Raj, SJ observed on the occasion, “Parents are the first teachers of their children but, in modern days’ hectic life, it hardly leaves little or no time for parents to devote full time and attention to their children. This is a prime reason for the feeling of loneliness that creeps into them and they take refuge in mobile phones that leads them to tread the wrong path.”

Fr Tony Raj suggesated that parents should take some time out from their busy schedule for their children that would go a long way in their kids’ allround development. In the same vein, he advised children to concentrate on their studies and stay off from their cell phones.

A captivating cultural programme was presented by the Xavier School students. Vice Principal Father Dayanidhi, Sister Rashmi, and other teachers ensured the success of the parent-teacher meeting.
