Jamshedpur, July 3: Loyola High School in association with Loyola Alumni Association (LAA) will host ‘The India Quiz’ on Saturday, August 13 as the institution’s Platinum Jubilee Year celebrations. To add to the excitement, popular Quiz Master, Barry O’Brien will conduct the proceedings in his own inimitable style. The quiz will be for participants between classes VIII and XII. Loyola High School Principal, Fr Pius Fernandes, Organizing Committee Chairman Rajiv Talwar and Secretary Savak Patel in a joint statement informed that each of participating schools had been urged to send 15 students of classes VIII to XII with one teacher to witness an exciting, ‘The India Quiz’ to be conducted by the famed Quiz Master, Barry O’Brien.
Fr Pius Fernandes added, “Participating schools may send two teams of two members each or one team. The preliminary rounds will be held at 8 am on August 13. Eight teams will vie for top honours in the finals.”
Rajiv Talwar informed that prize money of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 would be awarded to the schools winning the first, second and third places respectively. Savak Patel added that Certificates of Participation and souvenirs will be presented to all participants in ‘The India Quiz.’
