Jamshedpur, April 24: East Singhbhum deputy development commissioner (DDC) Suraj Kumar on Monday said that Panchayati Raj organisation is a self supporting system in itself.
The elected public representatives have a vital role to play in the structure of the district, said Suraj Kumar while addressing the National Panchayati Raj Day function at the Zilla Parishad office.
The panchayati Raj system plays a vital role in bringing the governments schemes to the ground. There has been all round development by bringing the issues of the interior villages before the district administration.
DDC further said that the public representatives are aware of the reality. It’s not that long since the system came into force in Jharkhand and step by step the system is gaining momentum and within a short time it will become a fully self supporting system.
On the occasion Zilla Parsihad chairperson Bulurani Singh along with district officers and Zilla Parishad members were present.
