Tribute to Jamini Roy street art exhibition held in Sonari

Jamshedpur, April 24: Chitranjalai Art School, Sonari on Monday paid tributes to great Indian painter Jamini Roy on his death anniversary.

On the occasion ‘Tribute to Jamini Roy’ named street art exhibition was also organised.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest famous Jamshedpur painter Jaydev Chatterjee and Sculptor Subhendu Vishwas. At the exhibition paintings of Jamini Roy made by school students of Jamshedpur were exhibited.

Students displayed their talent through the canvas where paintings related to environment, thinking of humans, social issues etc were made by the students.

Students of class 6 to 12 exhibited their paintings in the street art exhibition.

Chief guest in his speech said that these types of the competitions will help budding artists provide a platform and the youths will be made aware about the art. To make the street exhibition successful, Chitranjalai Art School’s director Arun Kumar Sinha, Laxmi Sinha, Dilip Dey, Gargi Chatterjee, Sharmila Sinha, Keya Sinha, Sunanda Aaich, Nilanjan Mitra, SVP Sinha, Venezuela Roy Choudhary, Goutam Aaich and PVK Roy played vital role.
