Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar today interacted with the representatives of Bangurda panchayat of Patamda during ‘Coffee With Collector’, a programme organized with the view to provide a platform for interaction between administration officials and panchayat functionaries.
Addressing panchayat representatives, the DC said that so far 136 Indira Awas units were constructed in Bangurda. As many as 238 proposals for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have also been received by the administration, he said.
The DC sought suggestions and complaints from the panchayat representatives and assured to provide solution to the same. He received complaints related mostly to drinking water, food supply, health, electricity connection, Indira Awas and payment under MGNREGS.
Kumar asked the gathering comprising Mukhiyas, panchayat sevaks and ward members to make available a list of people deprived of government housing schemes at village level. He further said that the vacancy of teachers in the Plus Two High School in Bangurda will soon be filled.
He said the administration was also going to take steps to provide drinking water and electricity supply to all six schools in the panchayat. He said not a single widow should be deprived of pension scheme benefit. He also said that a disability camp will be organized shortly in the panchayat.
The DC discussed issues related to ration card and supply of foodgrains and other ration items to villagers. He said the discrepancies in the ration beneficiaries’ list will soon be rectified.
The programme was also attended by the DDC Vinod Kumar, district Panchayati Raj officer Bipin Kumar, DPRO Sanjay Kumar, PMRDF Nitisha Besra and Mukhiya of Bangurda Kalyani Singh.
