Outfits take out candle march in honour of Uri martyrs

Jamshedpur: A candle march was organized in the city here on Friday in honour of the 18 Indian soldiers killed in Uri Army base attack by members of Marwari Yuva Manch. It started at Postal Park, Bistupur, and moved through the main road up to Bistupur traffic post before culminating at the same place.

The outfit members raised slogans against Pakistan and held the neighbouring country responsible for the cowardly act perpetrated in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

They said the Pakistan government, its Army and terrorist organizations should now quit their gory propaganda in the larger interest of mankind and regional peace. They said the Indian government should take stringent measures to stop infiltration from across the border.

Several city-based muslim outfits too, organized demonstration against terrorism sponsored by Pakistan and condemned the Uri attack.

Leading the agitation, demonstrators burnt the flag and effigy of Pakistan at Jugsalai near railway level crossing and Jawaharnagar.
