Jamshedpur, September 23: Tata Steel Athletics Training Centre trainees won 7 medals including 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medal in the East Zone athletics championship held at Guwahati in Assam on 10 and 11th September, 2016 .
Basanti Hembram won a gold medal in the 1500m event while bagged a silver in 3000m. Pooja Kumari won a gold medal in the 2000m event.
Jamuna Tudu won a silver in Triathlon event were Akash bagged a bronze medal. In 100 m event Subham Kumar received a bronze medal while Prakash won a bronze medal in Medley Relay event.
On their return to the city, the trainees were accorded a warm welcome by Mukul Choudhari, Administrator (TFA & Sports), Bagicha Singh, training centre Incharge and coach Sanjeev Kumar at JRD complex.
