Panchayat polls: Ankit Anand purchases nomination form

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, April 29: Former district BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand purchased nomination form for contesting the upcoming Panchayat polls here on Friday. He said he would be trying his luck from Zila Parishad constituency number 5 in Jamshedpur block.

Anand reached the Jamshedpur Collectorate with his supporters in the afternoon. He said he had decided to contest the elections to bring about a systemic change in the Chhota Govindpur and Ghorabanda panchayats. He said he aspired to become a ‘Sevadar’ (servant) and not a ‘thekedar’ (contractor).

Anand appealed to Panchayat voters to use their adult franchise carefully and wisely so that they do not have to repent their decision later.
