Jamshedpur, April 29: A speeding SUV hit a motorcycle near Adityapur Bridge on Friday. The bike rider, Ajay Bhuiyan, a resident of Sitaramdera, was seriously injured in the incident. He was taken to MGM Hospital where his condition was reportedly stable.
Sources said the mishap occurred in the afternoon, when the victim was on his way to Imli Chowk at Adityapur to meet a friend. As Ajay crossed the bridge, a speeding SUV knocked his vehicle down. He was thrown apart on the road. He sustained severe injuries in the incident.
Local residents rushed the victim to hospital. They said Ajay was driving recklessly at high speed which resulted in the mishap.
Cops seized both vehicles and detained the SUV driver.
