Jamshedpur, May 12: The Environment Management and Sports Divisions of Tata Steel on Thursday organized a painting and debate competition based on the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) theme �Fight against the Illegal Trade in Wild Life.�
The event was organized at JRD Tata Sports Complex. Suresh Paswan, regional officer, Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB), graced the occasion as the chief guest. Nearly 100 children participated in different categories of the competitions.
The competitions were evaluated by a panel of judges namely Rajesh Bajpai and Jaspal Singh from Jamshedpur School of Arts and Shuvra and Jainandan from Corporate Communication Department, Tata Steel. BP Goswami of JSPCB, SK Pati, chief, Environment Management, Tata Steel, and other officers from Tata Steel were also present at the event.
Winners of the painting and debate competition will be rewarded on World Environment Day – June 5, 2016.
