Chandil: Wild elephants destroyed crops and property in Chaliama village at the foothills of Dalma under Nimdih police station area in the wee hours of Sunday.
A herd of 10-15 elephants destroyed the boundary wall of Kailash Ashram and pulled down trees of various fruits at its precincts.
Only a week ago, elephants had destroyed several trees including those of banana, coconut and jackfruit while ransacking crops and property on their way to the village.
Vishudhanand Maharaj of the Ashram said the elephants had deviated into the village in search of food.
