Jamshedpur/Goa: The Master Athlete Foundation of India (MAFI) recently held a pivotal strategic meeting in Goa to review and intensify preparations for the upcoming 3rd National Women’s Masters Athletics Championship.
The session focused on establishing a seamless logistical and technical framework for the event. Vijay Singh, President of the Master Athletics Association of Jharkhand and Vice President of MAFI, contributed vital suggestions regarding athlete participation and on-ground arrangements to ensure a high standard of competition for female athletes traveling from across India.

Following the high-level review, officials confirmed that the championship will take place on May 30 and 31, 2026. The event is expected to draw approximately 1,000 women masters athletes representing 28 states, making it one of the most significant veteran sporting events in the country this year.
