Jamshedpur: Owen Coyle has shifted his focus to two challenging away fixtures after Jamshedpur FC secured a fourth consecutive victory. He stressed that the team must now recover quickly and prepare for a demanding trip to face NorthEast United FC.
Jamshedpur FC will play NorthEast United FC on March 15, followed by another away clash against Delhi FC on March 19.
Navigating a Demanding Schedule
Speaking after the win, Coyle acknowledged the difficult road ahead. The upcoming schedule features back-to-back away games beginning in Guwahati before a quick turnaround for the match in Delhi. Despite the travel challenges, the coach expressed confidence in his squad’s mentality.
“We’ll now recover and start to prepare to go to NorthEast and try to win. It’s going to be a really tough game,” Coyle said. He noted that the team has already proven it can compete in difficult venues this season.
Coyle attributed the current run of form to the squad’s unity and belief. He maintained that when players trust each other and work hard collectively, they always give themselves a chance to win.
Praise for the ‘Furnace’
The coach reserved special praise for the supporters, describing their backing as crucial—especially after the referee sent off a Jamshedpur player early in the game.
“The fans were brilliant. They really rallied behind the lads when we went down to ten men,” he said. “If there were any difficult moments, the fans were there giving encouragement.”
Coyle remarked that the supporters’ energy lifted the players through the match’s most challenging segments, adding that the atmosphere proved the “furnace was certainly alive.”
With momentum and a loyal fanbase behind them, Coyle believes his team will head into this away run with the confidence needed to extend their winning streak.
