Fans Acted as 12th Man in Victory Over Inter Kashi: Albino Gomes

Jamshedpur: Goalkeeper Albino Gomes credited home supporters for providing the “extra push” Jamshedpur FC needed to secure a hard-fought victory over Inter Kashi. Despite playing most of the match with ten men at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, the Men of Steel held on to their lead to claim all three points.

The referee reduced Jamshedpur to ten players early in the contest, forcing the team to show tremendous resilience and discipline. Albino, who made a series of crucial saves, noted that the red card required the squad to raise their concentration levels immediately.

“We played with ten men for almost 75 minutes, so we knew we had to focus and give everything until the last minute. The whole team performed exceptionally well,” he said.

Defensive Coordination Under Pressure

Constant communication between Albino and the defensive line proved vital as Inter Kashi pushed forward for an equalizer. Albino emphasized that this coordination helped the team maintain its structure under intense pressure.

“We communicated very well throughout, which helped us stay focused for the entire 90 minutes,” he noted.

The visitors nearly leveled the score late in the match when a header struck the woodwork. Reflecting on the close call, Albino added: “It was a dangerous cross and header; for a moment, we all stood still. I thanked God the ball didn’t go in.”

This victory marks Jamshedpur FC’s fourth consecutive win, continuing an impressive start to the campaign.

“We have had a great start, and we must maintain this form,” Albino said. “We have to grow even stronger for the upcoming matches.”
