Over two dozen trains from Tatanagar to remain cancelled in June

Jamshedpur, June 11: Due to ongoing developmental work across various railway divisions including Chakradharpur, Kharagpur and Adra, more than two dozen trains operating from Tatanagar will remain cancelled or diverted during June 2025.

In the Adra division, three trains—Adra–Barkakana–Adra MEMU, Jhargram–Dhanbad–Jhargram Express and Asansol–Ranchi–Asansol MEMU—will be cancelled on June 13. The Kharagpur–Ranchi–Kharagpur Express will be short-terminated at Adra and will not run between Adra and Ranchi. Similarly, the Kharagpur–Hatia–Kharagpur Express will not run between Adra and Hatia. Tata–Hatia Express will be diverted via Chandil, Gundavihar and Muri.

Eight trains in Chakradharpur division will also remain cancelled. These include Kharagpur–Tata Passenger (June 19–23), Tata–Kharagpur Passenger (June 20–24), Jhargram–Purulia–Jhargram MEMU and Kharagpur–Tata–Kharagpur MEMU (June 16–24). The Howrah–Barbil–Howrah Jan Shatabdi will be cancelled on June 20, 21, 23 and 24, while Jhargram–Dhanbad–Jhargram Express won’t run on June 22 and 24.

Additionally, four trains will run on diverted routes, including the Silghat Town–Tambaram Express, Ahmedabad–Howrah Express, Ranchi–Howrah Intercity and New Tinsukia–Tambaram Express.

Maintenance work using TRT machines on the Gamharia–Sini stretch will impact express services. Cancellations include Sambalpur Express, Tata–Itwari Express, Tata–Bilaspur Express and Utkal Express on various June dates. South Bihar and Ispat Express will also see partial route cancellations between Tatanagar and Titlagarh or Howrah.

Passengers are advised to check schedules before planning travel.

According to railway sources, the following trains will remain cancelled:

Howrah–Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express on June 10, 17 and 24

Jagdalpur–Howrah Samaleswari Express on June 12, 19 and 26

Tata–Itwari–Tata Express on June 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28

Howrah–Barbil–Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express on June 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28

Tata–Gua–Tata MEMU on June 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28

Tata–Rourkela–Tata MEMU on June 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28

Tata–Bilaspur Express on June 11, 18 and 25

Bilaspur–Tata Express (Train no. 18114) on June 12, 19 and 26

Additionally, several trains will undergo short termination:

Howrah–Titlagarh Ispat Express will run only between Tatanagar and Titlagarh on June 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28

Kantabanji–Howrah Ispat Express will be cancelled between Rourkela and Howrah on June 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28

Due to route diversions, the following trains will skip key stations:

Puri–Yoganagri Rishikesh Utkal Express on June 10, 17 and 24 will not stop at Bhadrak, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela and Jharsuguda

Yoganagri Rishikesh–Puri Utkal Express on June 15, 22 and 29 will be diverted and will not stop at Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Tata, Hijli and Bhadrak

Ara–Durg South Bihar Express on June 10, 17 and 24 and Ara South Bihar Express on June 14, 21 and 28 will be rerouted, skipping Gamharia and Tatanagar

Passengers have been advised to check the status of their trains in advance and make alternate arrangements as necessary. Railway officials have stated that the maintenance work is essential for ensuring long-term safety and efficiency on this busy stretch.
