Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the District Supply Department at the Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday. The meeting focused on the progress of departmental schemes and the foodgrain distribution system under various state and central schemes.
During the session, the Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions to identify and remove ineligible ration card holders while ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries are promptly covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the Jharkhand Food Security Scheme.
The meeting included a detailed review of several ongoing initiatives, including the paddy procurement process, ration distribution for June-July 2025, eKYC progress, and pending complaints on the PMGS portal.
As per the report presented by the District Supply Officer, a total of 7,01,991 quintals of paddy was procured from 6,015 registered farmers during the 2024-25 Kharif marketing season.
