Outsourced employees absent during DC inspection at MGM Hospital Jamshedpur

Employees attendance mandatory even on Sundays: DC

Jamshedpur, July 23: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav along with other officers conducted a surprise inspection of MGM Hospital in Sakchi on Sunday.

During this the outsourced staff were found missing. The store keeper nurse was also not at her place. There was also no staff to register Ayushman card in MGM Hospital on Sunday.

There was no officer present to answer to the queries of the deputy commissioner for this state of affairs.

 After this, the DC directed the hospital superintendent to call the outsourced staff on Sundays as well, so that the incoming patients could be treated better.

Incidentally, the DC has instructed the district manager to ensure attendance of staff who register the Ayushman card even on Sunday.

After this, the DC also inspected the building under construction in the MGM Hospital premises. The representative of the agency working there told DC many problems. DC assured to solve their problems soon.

The deputy commissioner said that a committee will be formed and junked items, such as stretchers, etc. in the hospital would be auctioned so that some new essential items can be purchased from the income generated from it.

The DC also saw filth at many places in the hospital premises, on which she directed the hospital superintendent to pay attention to cleanliness as well.
