Jamshedpur, Sept. 23: District Public Relation office in order to create awareness among the residents towards ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ will launch ‘Tumhari Chehak, Tumhari Udaan’ campaign in October.
Under the campaign, promotion will be done for several welfare schemes of the girl child including education, health and prosperity.
The campaign headed by district public relation officer (DPRO) Sanjay Kumar saw Indian Association of Pediatrician (IAP) Jamshedpur Chapter President Dr. RK Agarwal and with several child specialist doctors will join the campaign and will provide support in the health of a girl child.
At a meeting held between DPRO and IAP President Dr. RK Agarwal decided to waive off 25 % fees for the treatment of girl child between age of 0 to 5 years whose parents annual income is less than 1 lakh per annum.
Dr. Mithilesh Kumar from Adityapur said, we would not charge a single penny for the treatment of girl child who family is below poverty line. Supporting the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign, Indian Medical Association (IMA) Jamshedpur chapter Dr. Umesh Khan, Indian Association of Pediatrician (IAP) former Jharkhand President Dr. Mohan Kumar have welcomed the DPRO Sanjay Kumar’s initiative and appealed all the private doctors to provide full support for the treatment of the girl child.
The above concession is valid for one month. Dr. RK Agarwal informed that soon many more child specialists doctors will be added to the campaign.
DPRO Sanjay Kumar said that the campaign is being launched in the month of October as Navratri Puja which is a symbol of women power. ‘Tumhari Chehak, Tumhari Udaan’ awareness campaign will be run all over the month of October.
