Our Govt will run from villages, not from Delhi, Ranchi: Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren

West Singhbhum administration directed to develop tourist spots

Ranchi, December 16: Jharkhand chief minister asserted that the present government in the state will not be run from Delhi (hinting at BJP) or from capital Ranchi but from villages.

Addressing Apki Yojana, Apki Sarkar, Apke Dwar (government campaign to link beneficiaries with welfare schemes at their villages) rally at Manjhari block of West Singhbhum district on Saturday, Hemant Soren said, “the government has its eyes on all section of people, both in urban and extreme remote rural areas. This government is not like earlier ones and is not run from Delhi or from Ranchi in the air-conditioned offices but from the villages.”

He claimed that the campaigns are being held in different panchayats and officials are camping in the panchayat to address grievances of masses at their doorstep.

Taking a dig at the BJP-led Centre and the previous BJP governments at the state, Soren said, “Twenty years after the separation of the state, the previous government did not develop the villages. 80 percent of the people in the state live in villages. Our government has made schemes for every section of masses. As long as my government is there officials will have to visit villages and solve people’s problem”

“BJP led governments looted the budget and depleted the treasury. The opposition people made the state a sick state. The mineral wealth was looted and taken away. We pay salaries to officers and employees for their service. Our government has provided pension to elderly, widowed women, disabled and masses are linked with welfare schemes in minutes,” claimed Soren.

Hemant Soren said that women, elderly and students will not have to pay fare in rural buses.

The Chief Minister said that every poor will be given a house. He also said that Manki Munda’s demand will be fulfilled. He informed that instructions have been given to the district administration to make Torlo Dam a tourist destination.

He informed that 17,000 kilometers of roads will be built in rural areas with Rs 800 crore.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of 137 schemes worth Rs 422 crore 11 lakh and inaugurated 94 schemes worth Rs 85 crore 64 lakh.*

Assets worth Rs 116 crore 42 lakh were distributed among 332 beneficiaries.

Chief Minister interacted with the beneficiaries who came to the camp organized at Kursi Panchayat located in Chaibasa Sadar.

The Chief Minister said that the cabinet in its meeting on Friday has given nod to give the benefits of Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana to all the daughters of the family.

“Now daughters will not leave their studies, now the government will help them for higher education also. Students will be able to pursue higher education through Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. The government will provide them financial assistance up to Rs 15 lakh. The state government will no longer leave children dependent on banks for financial assistance in higher education,” said Soren.
