Jamshedpur, Jan 2: Sadar Hospital in Khasmahal is set to begin bone-related surgeries following the appointment of a new orthopaedic specialist. The development has been welcomed by locals, as previously, patients with bone injuries were often referred to other hospitals due to the lack of an orthopaedic doctor.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal has instructed orthopedic specialist Dr. Tapas Kumar Murmu to prepare for surgeries, including compiling a list of necessary equipment. Dr. Pal expressed his optimism about the new initiative: “For years, patients with bone injuries, especially from road accidents, had to be sent to other hospitals for treatment. With the new appointment, we will now be able to provide all necessary care right here at Sadar Hospital.”

The start of orthopaedic surgeries will significantly ease the burden on other hospitals and ensure that patients receive quicker and more localized treatment. The hospital administration is now focused on ensuring that all the required medical equipment is in place to handle bone-related procedures effectively.

“We are confident that with the addition of orthopaedic services, the hospital will provide better care to the community, and we are working to ensure all equipment and staff are ready to start the surgeries soon,” Dr. Pal added.
