Operation Prahar: Jamshedpur Police crack down on drug network, 17 arrested

Jamshedpur, Dec 12 : Acting on the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jamshedpur Police is conducting an intensive anti-narcotics drive under Operation “Prahar” to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse across the city.

During special raids carried out in various police station limits, the police seized 186 pouches of brown sugar, 38.12 grams of opium, 90 pouches of ganja, and 27 bottles of intoxicating cough syrup.

A total of 17 accused involved in the illegal drug trade were arrested and subsequently sent to judicial custody.

The Senior Superintendent of Police is continuously reviewing the progress of the operation and issuing necessary instructions to ensure strict and effective action against drug peddlers.
