Jamshedpur: One Sahdev Kaivarta allegedly killed his cousin and fish seller Hari Kaivarta in Dugdha village under Gamharia police station area on Saturday.
He assaulted the victim with a dagger. The victim succumbed to critical injury followed by profuse bleeding.
Soon after the incident, the villagers rushed to the spot and caught hold of the accused. The accused was tied up by the villagers and handed over to the police. Police have recovered the death weapon and registered an FIR against the accused and sent the body to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination.
Cops suspect that a family dispute between the accused and the deceased led to the heinous crime.
