Jamshedpur, Dec 5: One person died in the diarrhea outbreak for the last few days in Bana, Tangarani and Chanvaradih villages of Rajnagar block area in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
On Saturday night, 60-year-old Bhagtu Mahto of Bana village died of diarrhea during treatment at Rajnagar CHC. Eleven patients are currently being treated in the hospital.
At the same time, in view of the serious condition of a patient, he has been referred to MGM. The condition of six patients treated is also said to be critical.
The family members admitted Bhagtu Mahato to Rajnagar Community Health Center on Friday night due to excessive diarrhea and vomiting. But the patient’s condition did not improve and died at around 2:30 night of Saturday.

At the same time, Manju Mahto of Bana village was referred to MGM for better treatment. Here on Saturday, CHC doctor Maheshwar Mahali along with the medical team reached the diarrhea affected Bana and Tangrani villages. After checking the health of the people, necessary medicines were made available.
Along with this, people were advised to eat hot water and hot rice and not to consume stale rice.
Here Jawaharlal Sardar, the former head of Bana Panchayat, demanded from the Health Department to go door-to-door to check the health of the people. He said that people are suffering from diarrhea outbreak here for the last many days.
