Jamshedpur Management Association launches 14-week course on Business Analytics and Machine Learning

Jamshedpur, October 12: The Jamshedpur Management Association (JMA), in collaboration with the Institute of Data Engineering, Analytics and Science Foundation (IDEAS), Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, announced the launch of a 14-week comprehensive course on Business Analytics and Machine Learning.

The ceremony was conducted virtually, featuring Prof. Dipti Prasad Mukherjee (Deputy Director, ISI), Prof. Diptendu Dutta (Technology Head, IDEAS – TIH, ISI), Prof. Amitava Bandyopadhyay (Consultant, IDEAS – TIH, ISI), and Dr. Amitabh Bhattacharya (Secretary, JMA and Head Sales Metaliks Division, Tata Steel) as distinguished attendees.

The course, pioneered by IDEAS, ISI Kolkata, is designed to impart advanced analytical and machine learning competencies with a focus on Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Marketing.

Spanning 14 weeks with two classes per week and a two-day immersive session, this program emphasizes actual implementation through case examples, capstone projects, and the integration of the latest Generative AI and Agentic AI tools in business contexts.

This hands-on, application-oriented approach aims to help professionals develop practical expertise needed to address real-world business challenges.

During the event, speakers acknowledged the pressing need for industry-ready skills in data analytics and artificial intelligence, underlining the course’s distinct blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on exposure through live case applications and capstone initiatives.
