Jamshedpur: The Congress OBC cell organized a meeting at Devnagar under Sitaramdera PS which was attended by the party�s Kolhan in charge Dharmendra.
In his address, Dharmendra stated, �The OBC community is disillusioned with the BJP which has been using them as vote banks. Most OBC leaders are joining Congress. The next election will show our might at the hustings. We should strengthen our party in the district and reach out to every home and inform the people of our aims and objectives.�
The people in the meeting raised slogans like, �Vayu Sena Zindabad, Pakistan Murdabad.�
While conducting the meeting, district president Surendra Sharma stated that in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections we will ensure victory if a Congress candidate contests the polls or support an alternate candidate of the Grand Alliance. �We have to defeat the BJP candidate in the poll fray and for this we have to start preparations right away,� he added.
Presiding the meet, Sitaramdera block Congress president of the OBC cell Ajay Kumar stated that the party�s move to canvass the aims and objectives among all OBC communities was in full swing. �The results will be visible in the forthcoming elections,� he said.
Among those present were Parvati Sharma, Puravi Dutta, Dharmendra Swarnkar, Chandan Yadav, Rakesh Sahu, Kamlesh Sharma, Sitaram Chowdhary, Raj Kishor Prasad, Dipak Gupta, Subhash Prasad, Sanjay Kumar and others.
