Jamshedpur, January 28: Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., India’s trusted building materials company, inaugurated the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Training Programme for masons under its flagship CSR initiative Nuvo Mason at the Panchayat Bhawan, Chhota Govindpur, Jamshedpur, on January 28th, 2026.
NUVO Mason is a skill development training programme designed to enhance masonry skills, empower workers, and create new earning opportunities. Under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) framework, it trains and certifies 100 unregulated yet experienced construction workers seeking formal recognition.
The training has commenced with the first batch of 25 candidates from villages surrounding the Jojobera Cement Plant. This batch will undergo approximately 80 hours (10 days) of training, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of tile masonry (floors and walls). The programme content is aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), and participants will be certified by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) upon successful completion. The second batch will be initiated shortly.
The programme is being implemented in partnership with MNG Academy, Kolkata, with the aim of supporting skill development and helping local youth secure meaningful employment in the construction sector. The programme is expected to significantly improve participants’ quality of life by fostering wage parity and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through organised training.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Singh, Panchayat Samiti Member, Chota Govindpur North Panchayat, Ranjit Singh, Mukhia, Chota Govindpur North Panchayat, Jugnu Verma, Mandal President, Chota Govindpur, and Satish Singh, Nuvoco Dealer, Chota Govindpur, in the presence of other dignitaries from the Plant, representatives from MNG Academy and Nuvo Mason trainees.

It not only highlights the advancement of their technical abilities but also opens pathways to sustainable livelihoods, truly embodying our core value of Care.”
NUVO Mason is a flagship skill development program launched by Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd. in FY2022-23 and spans across the states of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Haryana and Jharkhand. More than 1000 youth, including women, have benefited from the program, increasing their incomes, and making their way into mainstream society.
