
Jamshedpur, Oct. 23: Sameer Gupta, Rahul Ranjan and Puja Jakhar from National University of Study & Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi have won the India Round of the Fifth Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon SAARCLAW Mooting Competition 2019-20 held from 18th to 20th October, 2019 and entered the International Rounds.
The NUSRL team is the first ever from this university to qualify for the international rounds of 5th N.R. Madhava Menon SAARCLAW Mooting Competition.
The university team also bagged the Best Team, Best Mooter and Best Memorial Award.
Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Kesava Rao Vurrakula congratulated the team members for the achievement. “May this great achievement provide inpsiration to others to take the University to greater heights,” professor added.
Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida, India, in association with Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT) and Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) organised Fifth Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon SAARCLAW Mooting Competition to identify seven qualifying teams to represent India in the SAARC Round.
The theme of the Moot Proposition for this edition�s India Round was Tools of the criminal investigation, fundamental rights and privacy concerns.
One of the most attractive features of this event is the Best Law Students Award. The Awardees (one female and one male) receive a fellowship of $50,000/- from Penn State School of Law to pursue LL.M from Penn State University.
