Nursery orientation at DAV Bistupur emphasizes on learning with fun

Jamshedpur, March 18: DAV Public School, Bistupur organized Nursery orientation programme on Saturday.

The parents of the tiny tots were just beaming with joy to be a part of the programme

Principal Pragya Singh delivered the welcome speech to honour the special guests. She in her address gave a glimpse of DAV as the world’s largest chain of Public schools for the longest time.

Principal informed the parents about the rules and regulations of the school. Parents were asked to devote at least three hours of interactive time with their kids without using their mobile phones. They were advised to follow cleanliness for good health and hygiene and to pickup there wards in time at the time of dispersal.

“Involvement of parents in the education of child and keeping in touch with the school helps in the better growth and development of kids, “said Pragya Singh.

She informed that the first five years of school, i.e 3 to 8 years is the foundational stage when emphasis should be laid on physical, cognitive and socio emotional development.

Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) include continued attention to health, safety and nutrition. Here, attention is also given on self help skills, motor skills, hygiene, physical exercise, expression and communication of thoughts and feelings to parents and others. Being comfortable with peers, completing tasks, adopting good habits and ethical development in school are important aspects. Fun with learning and reading for toddlers was emphasised upon during the programme.

The class teachers and co-ordinator of Nursery were introduced to the parents and they were informed about the Class Whatsapp groups and communication systems of the school.
