Jamshedpur: Communal harmony day was celebrated at Jamshedpur Cooperative College on Saturday under the aegis of National Service Scheme (NSS).
It was held in the botany science room. A discussion was held on the ways to maintain communal harmony.
The NSS officer of the college Professor Dara Singh Gupta said all individuals were alike and hence no one should resort to violence or ill-willed acts.
He said the age-old saying of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (Entire Earth is our home) should be followed by one and all for world peace and prosperity.
Other speakers too, agreed on the principle of peaceful co-existence. Among others present on the occasion included Nisha Kumari, Puja Kumari, Anamika Sharma, Vidhan Sharma, Atul Boipa and Pankaj Kumar.
