Gamharia : Hunger strike has been called by non-gazette health workers of the district in favour of their demands.
The workers demonstrated at community health centre. With Health Employees Association lending support to the strike, the situation has worsened.The heaps of garbage at the hospital premises speak the sorry tale of medical services.
The employees want the State government to increase their pay scale and offer benefits in line with the central pay structure. We have been deprived from our rights and want justice in treatment.
We are united and working hard to make the strike successful,” Vinay Kumar. “Our call for strike has received support from all corners. We have asked all our members to stick to demands and observe strike and not
attend their duties,” said another worker.
On this occasion, the union leader Sunil Kumar, Indu Bharati, Aseema Mahato, Rekha Kumari, including contract health worker were present in considerable numbers.
Here, the contract health workers went on strike in the medical system has collapsed in all health centers. Patients in the health centers are facing a lot of difficulties.
