Jamshedpur: A delegation of panchayat members of Bagbera met the assistant executive engineer of Tatanagar railway and handed him a memorandum addressed to the Railway GM to demand NOC for the laying of pipeline in the 13 slums of Bagbera and Kitadih. The delegation members said the laying of pipeline would resolve the drinking water problem being faced by a population of over 1.25 lakh people. They said the problem was rampant in garabasa, Shyamnagar, Anandnagar, Bajrang Tekri, DB Road, Babakuti, Naya Busti, Gandhinagar, Ramnagar, Postunagar, Kitadih Gwalapatti, Sanjay Nagar and Kitadih Gadiwan Patti. They threatened to launch a massive agitation in case their demands were not fulfilled soon.
