Jamshedpur, June 3: Bihar’s Minister for Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs, Shravan Kumar arrived in Jamshedpur on Friday. During his interaction with the media, the Bihar Minister discussed the socio-political scenario in Bihar and Jharkhand. On the question of making JDU Jharkhand state president Khiru Mahto a Rajya Sabha MP from Bihar, he said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar harbored tremendous faith on the Kurmi community.
Shravan Kumar said, “The Kurmi community’s expectations have not been realized by the Jharkhand government. No political party has given Kurmis their due respect. There is no disparity between the Kurmis of Bihar and those of Jharkhand. The Kurmis in Jharkhand are fighting for their existence. The JDU will emerge in Jharkhand stronger.”
Comparing Bihar and Jharkhand, the Bihar minister said that even after 22 years of Jharkhand’s creation, the state was in a bad state. Shravan Kumar during comparison between Jharkhand and Bihar said, “But today, the people of Bihar are getting 24 hours’ electricity supply while in Jharkhand there is rampant anarchy in spite an abundance of minerals and other natural resources.”
Shravan Kumar said the people were looking up to the Jharkhand government with hope and the state government should not deprive them of their respect and rights. Minister Shravan Kumar met party workers and supporters and discussed the future prospects.
