Jamshedpur, March 20: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will be addressing a public meeting at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, on 23rd March. He will be laying the foundation stone of the much-awaited elevated corridor project in Jamshedpur in online mode from Gopal Maidan. The elevated corridor would extend from Pardih Kali Mandir to Baliguma.
Sources said Gadkari would arrive at Sonari Airport around 2.15 pm and go straight to Gopal Maidan. The Union Minister will be laying foundation of several projects during his brief stay.
In view of Gadkari’s proposed arrival, a large pandal spanning an area of 5000 square feet is being prepared at Gopal Maidan.
Besides the 10.02 km long elevated double decker corridor (flyover), Gadkari will also inaugurate Shaherbera-Mahulia four lane. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta have also been invited to the event. East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav reviewed the preparations for the Union Minister’s proposed visit. She inquired about law and order, security and traffic arrangements. The Jamshedpur MP was also present along with the Regional Officer cum Project Director of NHAI SK Mishra, SSP Prabhat Kumar, SDO Piyush Sinha and DSP Traffic Kamal Kishore.
Meanwhile, NHAI Project Director Sanjay Kumar Mishra said preparations were on in full swing in view of Gadkari’s arrival.
Gadkari to lay foundation stone of elevated corridor at Pardih: BJP
Jamshedpur, March 20: Union transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone online from Bistupur Gopal Maidan on Thursday for the elevated double corridor from Pardih Kali Mandir to Baliguma in Jamshedpur.Â
As per a statement issued by Jamshedpur unit of BJP, the Union Minister will also inaugurate the Saharbera to Mahulia four-lane road apart from laying the foundation stone of about 10.5 kilometer long elevated double decker corridor (flyover).
A meeting of BJP city unit workers was held at Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato’s office at Bistupur.

The meeting discussed on the success of the program. During this, a detailed discussion was held regarding the elevated double-decker corridor and the suggestions of various workers regarding the success of the program were recorded.
Sanjeev Kumar, the Jamshedpur MP representative, who attended the meeting, told that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has given a historic gift to the people of the city by fulfilling the long-awaited demand of the people. With the construction of an elevated double decker corridor to be built with an amount of about two thousand crores, the people of Iron city will get freedom from traffic snarls along NH.

Addressing the meeting, BJP Jamshedpur unit president Gunjan Yadav said that it is a matter of fortune for the BJP workers that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is coming to the city for the second time. BJP workers from 28 mandals will march to Bistupur Gopal Maidan, the venue of the program.
Workers of various fronts will take out a motorcycle procession from the airport to reach Gopal Maidan.Thousands of workers riding on motorcycles carrying party flags and banners will take Union Minister Nitin Gadkari from Sonari Airport to the venue Bistupur Gopal Maidan through a bike rally.
