Jamshedpur biker killed as car door opens on main road

Jamshedpur, March 20: A 35 year-old biker, identified as Amit Prasad, resident of Nutan Vihar, Kunjnagar, Sonari, died in a freak road accident before Sonari police station on Monday.

He got criticially injured after hitting the recklessly opened door of a car parked ahead on the roadside.

He was on his bike when the door of the car was flung open before him. He was thrown apart on the road and injured consequently.

After lying on the road for sometime, he was taken to Tata Main Hospital by the car driver. He succumbed to critical injuries during treatment, sources said.

The deceased is survived by his wife and a five year old son. He was the sole bread winner of his family, sources said.
