Jamshedpur: Three surrender in Jugsalai firing case

Jamshedpur, March 20: Three accused of Jugsalai firing incient surrendered before police on Monday. They were identified as Arman, Raj and Shadab. The prime accused of the case, Mazid, is still at large, police said.

Cops said the arms and scooty used in the firing had been recovered.

Four armed assailants had opened fire on one Zahid Hussain in Islam Nagar locality of Jugsalai police station area late Sunday night.

A bullet had passed through Zahid’s left leg during the shootout. According to police, Zahid’s condition is out of danger now. Doctors are preparing to perform a surgey on his leg, cops said.

The firing resulted from a money dispute between Mazid and Zahid. Mazid had allegedly demanded money from Zahid to buy brown sugar. This resulted in a scuffle between them, police said.
