NIT Jamshedpur’s 13th Convocation Ceremony on Nov 4, Governor to address

Jamshedpur: The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, is all set to host its 13th convocation ceremony on November 4, marking a momentous occasion for 1,400 students who will receive degrees across various disciplines. The convocation will witness the esteemed presence of the chief guest, Governor CP Radhakrishnan.

The announcement was made by Dr. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, during a press conference held in the main building of the institute. Dr. Sutradhar revealed that a diverse array of degrees would be conferred, including B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc, MCA, and PhD. A total of 663 students will be awarded B.Tech degrees, while 42 students will be honored with PhD degrees. Additionally, 152 students will receive M.Tech degrees, 94 for MCA, and 84 for MSc.

The convocation ceremony will also recognize academic excellence, with gold medals to be awarded to two outstanding students. Metallurgical student Sayri Chatterjee and MSc Physics student Manik Bhattacharya are the proud recipients of the prestigious gold medals. Furthermore, seven B.Tech students, including Shrishti Shravani, Samiksha Mishra, and Shubham Bhattacharya, will be honored with silver medals.

Highlighting the achievements of the institute, Dr. Sutradhar announced that the campus selection process had successfully placed 990 students, with an impressive 83 lakh rupees as the highest package offered.

In an exciting development, NIT Jamshedpur is set to establish an Incubation and Innovation Centre, providing financial assistance of Rs 4 crore 90 lakh to support budding entrepreneurs in setting up industries. The convocation ceremony promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the academic accomplishments and future endeavors of the NIT Jamshedpur graduates.
