Jamshedpur: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur has achieved a remarkable milestone in its placement season, with six students securing annual packages of Rs 83 lakh each. These high-paying job offers were extended by Atlassian, a multinational IT company based in Australia. The recipients of this outstanding placement offer consist of three students from the Computer Science branch and three from the Electrical Engineering branch. All six students have successfully secured their placements and will be joining the company.

The students who have set this record are Adarsh Kashyap, Tanya Singh, and Arpit Kumar from the Computer Science branch, as well as Shubham Kumar, Apoorva Singh, and Rahul Pandey from the Electrical Engineering branch. This achievement follows last year’s success when a similar Rs 83 lakh package was secured, but by only one student.

NIT Director Prof. Gautam Sutradhar and the placement cell in-charge, Professor AK Choudhary, expressed their pride in the institute’s first-ever highest package. In total, 663 B.Tech students have received 919 job offers, with 64.43% of PG students also successfully placed. The institute is actively engaged in the ongoing placement process for the 2023-24 session.
