Nine candidates, including former Congress leader, file nominations for Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat

Jamshedpur, May 4: The nomination process for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha elections is nearing its conclusion, with nine candidates submitting their nominations on Saturday. Among them, former Congress leader Jitendra Singh severed ties with the party and filed his nomination as an independent candidate.

The candidates who filed their nominations included Jairam Das as an independent candidate, Sukumar Soren representing the Bharat Adivasi Party, Sadhu Charan Pal and Parvati Kisku as independent candidates, Sanka Mahato from the SUCI, and Sheikh Akhiruddin from the Bahujan Maha Party.

Additionally, Indradev Prasad, Gyansagar Prasad, and G Jairam Das submitted their nominations as independent candidates for the 09-Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency.

Earlier, nominations were filed by BJP candidate Bidyut Baran Mahato, JMM’s INDIA bloc candidate Sameer Mohanty, Bablu Prasad Dangi, Lokhit Adhikar Party’s Manoj Gupta, and independent candidate Arun Mahato.

The diverse list of candidates also included Arun Kumar Sharma of the Indian Azad Sena, Dharmu Tudu representing the Ambedkarite Party of India, and Independent candidates Jujhar Soren, Saurabh Vishnu, and Ashok Kumar of the People’s Party of India Democratic and Manish Kumar of the Right to Recall Party.

The intense political landscape further included Sheikh Akhiruddin from the Bahujan Maha Party and Sanka Mahato from the SUCI (Communist) Party filing their nominations. Parvati Kisku and Sadhu Charan Pal also submitted their nominations as independent candidates, while Sukumar Soren represented the Bharat Adivasi Party
