Jamshedpur: It was more than a mere premonition of summer that citizens were coming to terms with since the early days of March. The hottest times have been the noon to early evening periods.
Even the nights grew appreciably warmer. But all of a sudden, the sultry day saw a gathering of dark clouds and heavy rain ensued for more than an hour.
The lethargically dwindling light magically turned to darkness as street lights came to life and people caught unaware were seen rushing towards the nearest sheds for respite from the sharp and biting shower.
Accompanying winds blew away many flex hoardings while footpath stall owners collected their wares in a jiffy and slid into available spaces under sheds. Roads looked deserted almost like late hours of the night. However, the weather has turned appreciably pleasant and a good night�s sleep is assured.
