NHES students promote awareness on cardiovascular diseases

Jamshedpur: In observance of World Heart Day on September 29, the pre-primary students at Narbheram Hansraj English School organized a series of engaging activities to promote awareness about cardiovascular diseases and emphasize preventive measures for maintaining a healthy heart.

The classrooms were vibrantly decorated with heart-shaped balloons and educational materials relevant to heart health. Pre-primary teachers took the initiative to educate students about World Heart Day, leading discussions on the importance of a healthy lifestyle. A video presentation on the topic of “Healthy Heart” was shown, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session where students learned about habits that contribute to a healthy heart.

This year’s theme, “Use Heart for Action,” resonated throughout the day’s activities. During the morning assembly, students participated in chanting ‘Om,’ an exercise known to reduce heart rate and control blood pressure while providing an immediate sense of calm. Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhary encouraged the students to embrace this practice, highlighting its benefits in promoting a healthy and happy life.
